IETF 116 Childcare
Onsite childcare is available to IETF 116 participants and their families, free of charge.
Thanks to the generous support of our Diversity & Inclusion sponsors, we are offering onsite childcare at IETF 116. Childcare is once again provided by Rose Event Nannies, a professional event childcare provider. This service is offered free of charge to all registered IETF participants. Space is limited so advance signup is strongly encouraged.

Where will my child be?
Your child will be onsite in one of the meeting rooms at the Pacifico North Building in Yokohama, Japan.
What days and hours will childcare be available?

What ages are welcome?
We are currently planning to offer childcare for ages 0-12. If you are interested in activities for your teen, please contact support@ietf.org.
What sorts of activities will my child do?
Rose Event Nannies provides complete, day-camp style programs that include a wide variety of arts and crafts, games, and age-appropriate activities. Every program session revolves around a different theme, and multi-day programs will feature multiple themes. Below are images from the last meeting, where R.E.N. had a different country they explored each day, for their "around the world" tour. Additional information and schedules will be provided soon!
Who will be caring for my child(ren)?
We're excited to provide headshots and profiles for the nannies who will be tending to your children for the duration of the meeting. Please see below.
Do I need to provide snacks and food for my child?
The IETF, with input from Rose Event Nannies, will provide children with snacks and meals as needed, though you are responsible for providing formula and/or milk if necessary. If your child has dietary restrictions, please note them on the consent form.
What COVID safety precautions are in place?
Rose Event Nannies will be fully masked throughout the duration of the event.
I'm not sure yet if I'll need childcare, can I sign up onsite?
Drop-ins and onsite sign-ups are welcome, as long as there is availability. However space is quite limited so we strongly encourage you to register in advance.
